SENATOR ARARUME BERATES UZODINMA, IMO GOV

The political automostphare in IMO State for some days now is charged and hot following the statement credited to senator ifeanyi Ararume of the APC.

Recall that recently, Senator Ararume made a statement about the Governor of Imo state in which he lambasted the governor for what called poor execution of work and poor understanding of the real governance in the state.

The statement which has since gained a lot of attention from the reading public had equally received a lot of responses from the people of Imo state especially politicians.

Specifically, Senator Ararume had said in a recent interview not News Emperor that roads executed by the state government u der the watch of Governor Uzodinma were not up to three metres and that he was more experienced in politics than the governor.

As a result of above statement credited to him, there has an outburst in Imo state as the people reportedly reacted accusing the senator of propagating falsehood against the Governor of Imo state.

Commenting on the controvasial comment of the senator, the Commissioner for Information and Strategy in Imo state, Declan Emelumba who also Ararume’s who did not waste time I responding to Ararume’s statement, claimed that the Governor has built several roads running into several kilometers.

According to him, Governor Hope Uzodinma has within 11 months in office, completed over 20 roads in the state while many others are still under construction.

The Commissioner listed some of the roads and noted that the Governor just last week kicked off the Owerri/Okigwe and Owerri/Orlu Road which will cost N55 billion.

Equally, Declan Emelumba while responding to Ararume’s statement that he plays better politics than the governor, asked where Ararume was when Uzodinma was youth leader. These where his words.

Ararume was quoted to had said: “The question is where was Araraume in the 70s when Uzodimma was the Youth leader of NPN and not somebody who was Chairman of APP in 1999”.

The Commissioner also reminded Ararume that so far, Imo people are appreciative of the governor’s achievements both in health and infrastructure and have been of Commendations.
